5 days a week, the Day Program promotes self-confidence, individual responsibility and self-esteem through a diverse curriculum of classes and activities.

Registration is required, and members can take as many courses as they wish from a panoply of choices: yoga, aerobics, discussion groups, geography, history, singing, improv, film and music studies, art and painting, computer skills, language lessons, knitting, a radio show, Forward House's newsletter, and even cooking classes or home maintenance skills.

For the last 35 years, Forward House has offered a community volunteer placement program. Many partnerships have been developed over the years in community organizations such as senior centres, hospitals, food banks and community kitchens among others.

A partnership with Emploi Québec allows some of our participants to take part in the PAAS Action program designed to facilitate progress towards future employment. Through our diverse activities, our participants are able to get back on track and develop the autonomy, the discipline and the self confidence they require for their future endeavours.

Girouard Community Center

The Forward House community centre is located on Girouard Avenue near Sherbrooke Street and the Vendôme Metro Station in the western area of Montreal.
